We are a friendly community based Lawn Bowling Club, with a bowling green amongst the best in the area.
Our aim is "to provide lawn bowling opportunities for the local community which promote regular sporting activity, wellbeing and social inclusion". We support bowling at all levels from absolute beginners through to skilled competition bowlers.
Since 1967 the Club has been situated in the central recreational park area of West Byfleet and is a key part of the planned community development for the village. The Club has its own on-site car parking facilities. Members share the responsibility for the running and maintenance of the Bowls Club. For further general information about the Club please go to the Contact Page in the menu bar and leave your email enquiry with our Club Officers.
Currently the Club has 80 members across varying age groups. We have a full fixture list of friendly and league matches. Outdoor games are played mid-week and at the weekend from mid April to the end of September.
We welcome enquiries from potential new bowlers and are always keen to introduce new players to the sport. There are a number of qualified coaches and a 'buddy' support system available to all new members during their induction phase. Please see the Coaching Support section for
details of our next free coaching day for beginners.
The Club supports the Public Health England initiative of "getting every adult active every day" and has the endorsement of the local GP Practices.
